"In addition the the usual trials and tensions of a wagon train, this was followed by the one man whom Ryan wanted most, Grizzly Dugan. There were also problems with various Indian tribes. Each of the characters in this book was wonderfully written and had distinctive personalities which attributed to the believability of the story. There were minor romances woven throughout the story, including Aunt Mabel and a widower with five children of his own. The stresses of the wagon train's expedition added not only depth, but humanness, to the plot of this great novel. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves historical romance." 4 1/2 Hearts from Brenda Talley, The Romance Studio
